Sorry for asking this if it's already been said but...
Do I have to install Vista service pack 1, before updating with Autopatcher Vista SP1. Or does Autopatcher have SP1 included? :)

APUP does not contain any service packs

Guess I'll just bump this thread. I'm kinda new to Vista. From what I'm reading and seeing it appears Autopatcher only supports Vista post SP1 correct?
i.e. I can run AutoPatcher after I've installed SP1.

What is the general consensus here about applying SP1 after an initial install of Vista? Go right to SP1, if it will install, or choose MU to update most items before applying SP1? I know there is some issues with SP1 and older drivers.

I would install SP1 before updating. SP1 includes all previous updates anyway.

These two updates were added yesterday which it should show for both Vista Home Premium and Ultimate. I'm assuming you have updated your release with APUP?

What version of Vista are you running? These updates only apply to Vista Home Premium and Ultimate.

I've tested this patch under my x64 virtual image which it tests good. What happens when you try to install the patch manually? Go to --> NonCritical\KB951685_vista_x86.apm_files and run Windows6.0-KB951685-x86.msu.

it said the update does not apply to my system

Thanks for the heads-up. I did some research and it looks like KB950489 replaces this update.

The next time you update your pack, KB951685 will be removed
