Vista SP1

KB954160 is going to be a valid update since it updates fonts for these four languages which are installed on every install. I say "going to be" since this patch hasn't been released officially for Vista X64.

Go ahead and run APUP again to update your installation. KB954160 should be removed for now while KB950888 will be downloaded this time. I won't be able to update the RTI until later tonight so the Vista/Server 2008 x64 release will be marked "unofficial" until I update it later.

As for the Group Policy Preference update, can I have you try to install it manually by going to modules\Components\KB943729_vista_x64.apm_files\Windows6.0-KB943729-x64.msu. Let us know what error message you receive.

I wasn't saying anything bad. Just asking what service pack level your installation is for troubleshooting =)

Think I know what is up - Can you tell me if you have the following file - C:\Windows\System32\catroot\{F750E6C3-38EE-11D1-85E5-00C04FC295EE}\microsoft-windows-grouppolicy-preferences-cse-pack~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.0.6001.180XX.cat

If you do, what numbers do you have with the "XX" before .cat?

Go ahead and update your release pack which AutoPatcher should now detect this update as already installed on your rig. Windows Update has a newer version of this update which I tend to grab the updates from download.microsoft.com which only offers the original version released in March.

I'm always working on a pack which I'm notorious for missing posts. Please feel free to PM me in the future.

I found the issue in the detection scripts. I'll have this updated by the end of the day. Thanks for the heads-up
