Been using APUP now for many months. One thing I consistently see a problem with is under Windows Addons with XP. I can select for all the PowerToys to be installed and also select both items under TweakUI to be installed. It appears the Power Toys are installed and on a check TweakUI 2.10 is Blue showing it is installed however there is no Start Menu item showing TweakUI. Further no matter how many times I try Autopatcher will not install TweakUI Control Panel shortcut. On each run of AutoPatcher the TweakUI CPL shortcut is Black showing it's not installed.

I have tried this on many different systems and I cannot get it to install correctly. Using Search I can find no files named *TweakUI* If I manually install TweakUI, the start menu shortcut is installed properly and then if I rerun AutoPatcher and select to install the TweakUI CPL shortcut it installs correctly. Looks like to me the problem is with the TweakUI installer which also caused the CPL shortcut install to fail.

Any ideas? Either I'm doing something wrong or the script/installer is misconfigured.

Same problem here. Just loaded a box fresh with Windows 2000 SP4 and downloaded the latest AutoPatcher (from a W2K box) about a week ago. TweakUI won't install, it's not blue, and even when I select just it by itself I get no option to continue ("0 to install, 0 to remove"). It's not in Control Panel.

If I try to do it manually (TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe), I get an error dialog:

"The procedure entry point GetDllDirectoryW could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll"

Is this TweakUI for Windows XP? I downloaded it manually and I get a different package with a .INF to install, no .EXE - and this worked fine.

Also, some other things:
. "Remove Microsoft Virtual Machine" doesn't go blue, even after performing this option several times...
. I thought there were some PowerToys for Windows 2000, but I see no option for this.
. I installed the PowerMenu 1.51 option, but I'm not seeing its functionality. I downloaded the program (PowerMenuSetup_1_5_1.exe) manually and installed it and this worked.

@jbob

I have posted an answer and temporary solution HERE.

@BlackholeForever

You are absolutely right.
AutoPatcher's apup is downloading TweakUI version 2.10 for Windows XP, which doesn't work on Windows 2000. The "different package" you downloaded is TweakUI version 1.33, which is the correct version for Windows 2000.
