Outlook Junk Email Filter "Detection"...

the "detection scheme" for the Outlook 2003 Junk Email Filter (KB950380) makes a poor ASSUMPTION that "Microsoft Office" is installed in "Program Files"...

seems a "better" detection scheme should be able to be employed for us "Type-A's" that *avoid* the "Program Files" directory 'at all cost' :D

Which is way registry detects are added to the all Office modules:

Windows Installer updates register themselves within: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Patches

KB950380 - It looks like I mispelled HKLME\SOFTWARE instead of HKLM\SOFTWARE which could be why it isn't shown as detected if that was what you are refering to. Since patch Tuesday is tomorrow, I'll make sure it's correct with tomorrows update.

Also for the next version, I've asked Antonis to implement a new varriable to determine where Office is installed instead of assuming program files.

ah yes, i see that extra "E" now (ie, edited .apm, removed the E, now the installed Junk Email Filter is "detected")...
