AP 2000 not working woes :(

Fetched 91.6% and I get a pop up saying "Invalid download(s). One or more files failed verification...."
I guess AutoPatcher 2000 script MD5 hash checksum needs updating with the files from www.autopatcher.com
If I click Yes, then I get continuous uz.exe popups and cannot close them. So I have to Exit AutoPatcher and manually kill uz.exe.
Then i run AutoPatcher again to download 2000 and it starts from 0%... would be nice to actually check local files MD5 hash checksums and skip the downloads that have already been downloaded!
Once I get to the Invalid download message, if I click No, then AutoPatcher STOPS completely. which means it doesn't continue the rest of the downloads.
HELP!!!

At first I had ap on my desktop. After your tip I unzipped it again to J:\ap. No difference. I get the same errors/issues. Help!

I think we need to see your log file.
Could you please re-run apup again, with the /log option (as in J:\ap>apup /log).
It will create apup.log which will be much too large to post here in one piece.
You could try posting it a piece at a time, or (much better):
Open the file in any text editor (Notepad for example) and search for the text "MD5 Hashes do NOT match".
Cut and paste about 10 lines (5 before, 5 after) each time you find "MD5 Hashes do NOT match".
Also, when you say

For example it says
windows_critical_2k_x86_enu.zip: DISCONNECTED!!!
but I did a search and found it.
And for
__MDAC.apm: Download complete.
and did a search and found it.
So these 2 status messages are a bit ambigious.
Well, since I got most of the files.. how would one auto install them all?

APUP is not downloading and installing the rest of the AutoPatcher program correctly.
Your own analysis of your log file is correct. You should not have the DISCONNECTED!!! messages, shown here:
Download queue status: 4 files waiting. apengine_bin.zip: DISCONNECTED!!! Download queue status: 3 files waiting. apengine_lng.zip: DISCONNECTED!!! Download queue status: 2 files waiting. VB6.0-KB290887-X86.exe: DISCONNECTED!!! Download queue status: 1 files waiting. apengine_exe.zip: DISCONNECTED!!! Download queue status: 0 files waiting. To solve this, I need some more information.
Your first post mentions Autopatcher 2000. Since you have posted in General Support, I do not know which Operating System you are running, but I assume it is Windows 2000.
The following instructions assume you are running Windows 2000. Do not follow them if you are running Windows XP or Vista, since the information I need has a different name and is in a different place in XP or Vista.
----------
Can you please check the default System Locale. You can find this by clicking:
Start > Settings > Control Panel > Regional Options > Set default...
Once you have opened the Regional Settings dialog box, the Set default... button is in the bottom-left corner. When you click this button, a new dialog box called Select System Locale opens. Please let me know what language is shown here.
To exit these dialogs without changing anything, press Cancel on each dialog.
If you have an East Asian language shown (such as "Traditional Chinese") you will have to change it to "English (United States)" or another European language for APUP to work. Changing the System Locale will require a computer reboot or restart and also you might need the Windows 2000 install CD (the CD is only rarely needed).
----------
Please let me know if this does or does not solve your problem, before I post further help.
In the meantime, because Autopatcher is not yet properly installed you cannot yet auto-install the files you have downloaded.

Most people, when they see the "DISCONNECTED!!!" message assume that they have an internet/firewall/router problem.
NOT SO - all programs written in Visual Basic 6 have a problem with the East Asian language group - not just AutoPatcher.
