Ran APUP - watched and noticed Malicious Software removal Tool 2.0 was downloaded.

Ran AutoPatcher and noticed version 1.42 was listed in black; I had 2.0 installed.

Checked KB890830_x86_enu.apm and noticed my copy had 1.42 rather than 2.0

Checked KB890830_files folder and the file within is: windows-kb890830-v2.0.exe

Glitch somewhere? My end or yours? <_<

I'm assuming that you are downloading the XP pack since there isn't a Vista tag in the file. I verified that the XP sp3 has the right module in the zip. Delete the module and re-run apup.

Had a minor glitch.

ZoneAlarm Pro 7.0.483.000 (latest version after yesterday's security fiasco) gave a malicious software warning and would not allow UZ.EXE to run and, therefore, finish the install of the APM module for this item.

I had to go into ZoneAlarm Program Control and put UZ.EXE in Trusted Zone and re-download to get things brought up to date; KB890830 v2.0 now shows as expected.

Figured I'd better mention it here in case there are others with a similar problem.
