Ok, the issue.....I've searched the forums quite a bit and sorry If I missed it, but wanted guidance on how to manually add windows updates that the auto-update program does not find.
As an example, today I was updating a Vista SP1 install. Auto-updater ran, found over a dozen updates and ran the install. Took about 10 minutes in total. It rebooted, configured and then I went to windows updates just to double check and there was still about 120mb of updates (critical/important) that needed downloading. (it showed 130mb or so before I ran the auto-patcher) and so either a ton of those updates didn't install for some reason, or there are a lot of fixes that Microsoft have released that are not being detected/added by the auto-updater. What confuses me is that the update downloads folder I have for Vista is about 180mb and so figured I had everything out there.
Also, I have downloaded the latest unofficial/unsupported version, so not sure if that means I don't get to hear answers to my problems or not?!...but wanted the link to the last stable/supported version for XP and Vista (am getting some verification runtime errors)
Thanks in advanced guys.
Also, can someone link me to the "how to create a custom module/program update thread please?!"...cheers!
