easy. one step at a time. the unique id isn't related to the folder name, but ModuleFolder=msxml4_sp3_files is and that wasn't even supposed to be in there. i didn't saw that 4 in the module folder name, just that. i've just noticed that now by pure accident, because i wasn't even looking for that. you made your point, i see now that i was wrong, my mistake and i ask for your forgiveness about that issue. but to begin the story, set an ModuleFolder was supposed to be an exception, that was made an rule to avoid the very first rule: no double files. all that is being reviewed and ancient mistakes will be fixed, soon or later

done. fixed the mistake into MSXML3_enu.apm module. just an remind: there's implicit and explicit modules. they are implicit when ModuleFolder isn't included at [Behavior] into the module or in any part of the module himself. due that, autopatcher will look for an folder that has the exact same name than the module, plus _files. given so, if you do an international module with all the proper descriptions included, you don't need anything else. but, if you avoid the first rule about "no dupe files", then you may have folders with the name of the module. but if you avoid that rule, then you may set an folder with any name, by choosing the function ModuleFolder under [Behavior]. given so, your module can have any name, because you already had set the module folder. by doing that, if you have a dozen of translations, you will have a dozen of modules for it, when you could have just one. why do that? easy: to not talk about anything and do the module anyway. those issues will be fixed, soon or later, one at a time.

i don't believe in this... WU is wrong again!!!!

http://support.micro....com/kb/967715/

Quote

Note Updates 950582, 967715, and 953252 provide the same functionality for Autorun

and yet, even after you install the newer kb, that aims xp, KB967715 is delivered through automatic updates in a clean install of wxp forget it. i've forgot to add this one in the release that i've tested

plus, according to ms, KB941569 was replaced by windows xp sp3, also anyone can see in here, and yet, this one is delivered through automatic updates in a clean install of wxp.

those will be re-added by tomorrow, despite not be needed anymore according to ms himself, just to match WU

the board is offline right now, but an remind: kb972636 was released a few days ago. this one replaces KB971180

also, another remind: still there's some software running msxml 4. i've just did an test with nero 9.4.12.3 smart essentials (that is free now and can be downloaded from here and one of the things that is installed by this one is msxml 4 sp2 (yours can realize that easily, by paying some attention to the install screen). so please, don't forget that if you have this one, is an good idea apply MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 3, that is included with autopatcher. there's a lot of other software still requiring this and installing sp2 by default. so, keep safe and update it, if you have any software that runs this one

KB961371 has been moved (the filefor it when I manually downloaded it is now -v2- )

I don't know what the new path is (IE isn't telling me and this is a fresh install so no Opera or Firefox.)

Hope this helps a little bit.

it will, thanks. so far we know, this was the major update list that ms already did for xp and, due that, this will take longer than expected. so far we know so far, at least one update will work only after an change at the registry

the xp enu script was updated to include +KB956744; +KB960859; +KB968389; +KB971557; +KB971657; +KB973354; +KB973507; +KB973815; +KB973540

for sure it's missing something, because i did only the rdp default from windows and, even for this module, the check for the proper version isn't in place (there are 5 versions of RDP 5.0/5.1/5.2/6.0/6.1). the registry entry required to activate KB968389 described is in place. an undo for it is also in place, if required. the script was left unsigned due the possible missing updates and some extra checks

added the missing KB973869 and fixed the download location for KB956744.

the rdp updates will come later, but this ones will be some sort of nightmare...

kb959772 was replaced by KB973540. this one checks for system32\wmp.dll. if greater than 11.0.5721.5260 this one will fail to install and KB973540 installs 11.0.5721.5268

kb959772 will be removed by tomorrow
