First, the good news :) - the edit to the script seems to have fixed the issue with the WGA download - tested 3 times / no errors.

Now, the bad :( (rather, the strange) - your going to think I'm crazy but it seems to be the case, see below...
Spoiler

Anyway, just letting you know

ok. this seems to be the update list that is downloaded by automatic updates, so this list will be handled first:
KB980302
KB978601
KB979309
KB890830
KB980232
KB977816
KB981332
KB978338
KB979683
(the above list is missing the removal ones. that will be handled later)

but i'm curious about one thing: KB981332. can someone please check if this update works in non-IE8 systems? the description for this one says that KB981332 fits for xp, but the kb name says that this one is for IE8

yep, but vbscript 5.8 is the current version and we don't include the 5.7 version. anyway, the 5.7 version or even 5.6 (that is for sp2) that can be added, but it will help someone?

by the way: the basic updates are already done, but an download test is required. i will be traveling in a few hours and i will be back only on friday. so, only the main updates and removals was done so far. the remaining ones can be added, just please, think about and state an opinion about it

FYI, Even though I do not use IE7, I do not see the following fix for IE7

KB981349 MS10-022 (not in APUp VBS 5.7)

There's also an update for WMP9, but I think APUp is no longer doing WMP9 and WMP10 right?

Ciao ...

oops... i forgot those. i remember that i've talked with mike about this one, but i've completely forgot about it. as for wmp9, personally the current version is wmp11 and due that we should keep only the current version, BUT the updates for those are still included in the script, so i don't see any reason for keep an update out. so please, can you state the kb missing?

thanks

That's all I see too

KB978542 (MS10-30) replaced KB951066 & KB973354 (Outlook Express)

click-click, now i'm puzzled... at MS10-030, ms says that the replaced bulletin was MS09-037. in that bulletin, ms states that the replaced ones was KB973354 (Microsoft Outlook Express 6), KB973540 (Windows Media Player 9, Windows Media Player 10, and Windows Media Player 11), KB973507 (Windows ATL Component), KB973869 (DHTML Editing Component ActiveX Control) KB973815 (Microsoft MSWebDVD ActiveX Control)

all those are currently in the script. i didn't saw in that bulletin an mention for KB951066. KB978542 is for MOE 6. so, surely KB951066 and KB973354 was also replaced. but what about the other ones? ms did only an partial replacement of MS09-037 and didn't noticed that when they stated at MS10-030 that MS09-037 was replaced?

thanks for any input

> but what about the other ones?

The way I see it is Ms is only talking about the OE component and not the
entire MS09-37. The CAT files for the KBs you mentioned are still on my
system, so I assume they were not replaced.
