i think that i may have forgot about this one. in deed, this one is an .net related update and due that, it may fits for several OS's as well. if is at the main enu script, then it will not be visible to vista users that doesn't have the xp script as well. no problem, i will fix this one by tomorrow

thanks

done. KB925168 moved to the .net script. and yours wanna the news? despite the description states that this one fits for vista only, this one is the exact same that works from 2k and beyond. also, this one is for all languages.

issue: as is impossible know if the user has the .net updates in the same folder or even if the user updates all the scripts at same time, an removal has to be set, but not an move. for those that wish save bandwidth, this has to be done manually. first, locate:
autopatcher:\modules\NonCritical\KB925168_DN11SP1_x86_enu.apm_files

and move it to:
modules\Components\__dotnet

then, rename it to:
ndp1.1sp1-kb925168-x86.apm_files

why rename? the folder was stating that was for enu only and this one fits for all. with that done, all that will be done is the removal of the old module and download of the new one, plus the signature file and md5 checksums

sorry for the trouble

Cristiano,
My point was...
This hotfix simply does not apply to any version of XP.
It resolves an issue that only arises under Vista UAC.

KB925168 sure seems to be a Vista only update.

Brief Description
This download applies to users of the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 that need to use the SendKeys functionality while running under Microsoft Windows Vista.

yes, i know. but the description seems to be wrong. easy way to check that: KB925168_DN11SP1_x86_enu.apm. the one included in the main enu since 20061212 had this detection:
RegistryPath=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\.NETFramework\1.1\M925168
KeyName=Installed
KeyValue=1

and this download link:

DownloadFrom=http://download.microsoft.com/download/7/a/c/7ac504fc-a823-4740-ab81-de99cb28c3c6/ndp1.1sp1-kb925168-x86.exe
ExpectedSize=2170216
ExpectedHash=7CE46A1162629ACEF5576F9584B0B141

the "new" update for vista has the following download link:

DownloadFrom=http://download.microsoft.com/download/7/a/c/7ac504fc-a823-4740-ab81-de99cb28c3c6/NDP1.1sp1-KB925168-X86.exe
ExpectedSize=2170216
ExpectedSize=7CE46A1162629ACEF5576F9584B0B141

same size, same detection, same hash. i can be wrong, but this one seems to be the same from 2006, just with another description

edit: oh yes, release date from ms: 12/14/2006

by the way: i've noticed that the .net script was missing at our servers. i've re-did the missing part of the script (the module is shared), but i'm unsure if the rti file was uploaded, because the script wasn't in there, nor the modules. so, this one may stay as unofficial until be re-uploaded tonight

That does not appear to be for XP. I have XP Pro SP3 and when I go to your link, it tells me:

I don't think it matters if you use the windows server update.

i did an small test with kb982010. this one has the following files inside:
WindowsUpdateAgent30-ia64.exe
WindowsUpdateAgent30-x64.exe
WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe

so, this one is all the 3 versions in one package of ~23MB. v7.4.7600.226 as stand-alone has ~6MB. the ia64 version is required? for most of the users, no. but his one could be extracted, the ia64 version could be deleted, ok, no problem. could be easy with an direct link for v229 x86 and another one to x64? in fact, it could be. but there's not that version at WU right now

the x86 version works for xp? yes, it works. but it is required to run WU? right now, no. but please, when this one reach wu, please let me know

It is probably better to wait for the update with a direct link rather than cause more work. I only wanted to make you aware that a change to WU had been made.

It's not a problem in the program, it looks like maybe only an error with the md5sum for kb974631.

If rerunning APUP a second time, selecting only the script with the issue (looks like Office 2007 here) doesn't fix the problem, you will want to post the log file from an Office 2007 run (minus XP) and post the log in the Office forums so Domenico will see the post - he may not see it posted in the XP forum.

It is a good idea to run APUP a second time if for no other reason than to slim the log file down if you need to post it for help. I guess your XP release is Official, if not, run APUP again, select only the XP script, if the missing or failed files don't verify after a second run post the XP only log file in the XP forums.

You can check which release is giving you troubles by running AutoPatcher (autopatcher.exe) - click About - click Release Info, the Title in 'Red' and 'False' under Official is the release you need help with.

Another good habit that helps keep the thread looking nice is to put the content of the log file in Spoiler code -> [spoiler ] log--file--here [ /spoiler]

Bringing the brackets together creates...

in a first look, seems that this is the update list for this month:
critical:
KB982214
KB2160329
KB981997
KB2079403
KB2183461
KB981852
KB980436
KB2115168
KB982665

.net:
KB983583

non-critical:
KB982664

common:
KB890830 08/2010

the total size of the download seems to be about 49MB, but i still have to check this and also the replacement list. as the update list is kinda bigger, may take some time to add them all

edit:
this really will take some time... i've forgot that the ie updates are 3, not just one... to those on hurry, this is my draft:
Spoiler

oh, my draft has the links for ptb and enu. if yours require it for some reason, please pick the version for your own language

if yours with save time with apup later, i'm naming the folders with the same name than the update, replacing the .exe part by .apm, plus _files

also, the checksum for all those files:
Spoiler

as i've said earlier, this will take some time...
