Here is the reason why KB2585542, KB2618451 and KB2620712 are not detected as installed (black):
You should be using HKLM in the registry detection entry and not HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

The Title for IE KB2544521 is wrong. It is only a Security Update and not a Cumulative Security Update

IE8-WindowsXP-KB2618444-x86-ENU.apm contains the wrong KB data. Please look inside the file.
Inside the APM you are talking about a totaly different fix which is no longer valid.

The detection for windows Update Agent is wrong. The file version is 7.6.7600.243. If you don't believe me
unpack the files and do a filever on them.

KB2541763 was replaced by KB2585542 (KB2541763 needs to be removed)

KB2506212 should not have been removed. Only updated as per previous post.

I still have few other things to check.

Thanks ....

OK... In main Critical folder, XP release has;
  • 101 .apm files (I've excluded __MSIE_critical and __WMP_critical files)
  • 101 sub-folders (I've excluded __MSIE_critical and __WMP_critical folders)
  • 103 files in sub-folders (I've excluded __MSIE_critical and __WMP_critical folders): there are 3 files in KB968389 sub-folder. These files are needed to detection
In __MSIE_critical sub-folder there are:
  • 9 .apm files
  • 9 sub-folders
  • 9 files in sub-folders
In __WMP_critical sub-folder there are:
  • 17 .apm files: KB954155, KB973540, KB975558, KB978695 and KB2378111 hotfixes have 3 .apm file (one for WMP9, one for WMP10 and one for WMP11) but only one .exe file
  • 7 sub-folders
  • 7 files in sub-folders
So... In __WMP_critical sub-folder there are 7 distinct hotfixes.

This is my check result... and I've not found any issue.
I'm analyzing the issues reported for KB2618451 and KB2620712.

Well, I have tried again this time updating only Autopatcher Common, starting with a set that shows everything official and autopatcher common files dated 13 December.
Sorry to say after the update I again get Autopatcher unofficial and Autopatcher common files showing as 7 February, FALSE.

Another odd thing that I should have reported in my previous post is that in Autopatcher List of available items, above Windows Critical updates, there are two apparently empty boxes.
I attach pics and the Apup2 log file

Well ViroMan you are getting better so I'll give you one more chance.Posted Image The following still has not been corrected:

The Title for IE8/IE7 KB2544521 is wrong. It is only a single Security Update and not a Cumulative Security Update.
The title entry should be:

with this fix?

There is one more fix that is missing in APUP for IE8 that should go into the NonCritical section

damn it... I know I did those.

Christ, I must be getting old or something. I didn't upload the new msie zip I made. Thats why whatacrock is getting md5 errors... I updated the script but didn't upload the zip.

im looking into the Dotnet issue now. I will upload the newer msie zip when I get both done.

Another shining example why I need to finish the conversion to the new scripts... less overhead to mess up on.

Anyways uploaded. I won't even pretend that they might work... I probably screwed something else up knowing me.

Autopatcher reports that it is an unofficial/unsupported version and have false readings on Win XP_sp3, common files and now on dotnet.. I suspect it is upto dkdk_it to sign the script files.

Hope this helps out.

I have been messing with the dotnet script a few times today so thats probably your problem. All the download errors should be done now. Although I think I still have a few more detection bugs to work out.

Reran apup2 and it went through and alas no errors....however running autopatcher and checking the release info and have 3 showing a false output. These being Windows XP_SP3 , Common Modules and dotnet so it looks as dkdk_it has to resign the those particular scripts again.
I checked on my second machine and the same results.

Unfortunately still something wrong.

With a new download of Apup 1.3.0.1, into an otherwise empty folder (i.e. a completely fresh set, just ticking Common, and XP), I get autopatcher unofficial, though the Common, XP and autopatcher engine all show True.

As this is a completely clean attempt, it cannot be due to any old files not having been removed.

I also got this with Apup2.
