@MenageZer0 - I've been holding of this list due to how long it will take for me to update. Once the other lists were updated, it was time to update AutoPatcher with new updates which takes priority of coarse =)

Even though this list will be cut in half in a month, I'll have it updated soon.

First post updated with the start of a changelog. Now I need to get away from the computer due to the amount of typing

hey, ty for the hard work :)

... i was also thinking ... if one day the release scripts will be ported to the xml sintax, one of the things which could become easier could be to automatically generate a detailed report about the content of the release and the latest changes (... instead of typing and typing and typing ... :D )

again about the 1st post in this topic, the follwing things are missing from the components list: (while beeing present in the latest relase)
- ie7
- wmp11
- win.defender
- journal viewer
- "WindowsUpdate" & "MicrosoftUpdate" clients

while there is also KB924191 listed there, but it is not included in the latest release

;)

ps: it doesn't matter of course, but i was also wondering if it could make sense to move things like win.defender, juornal viewer, uphc, etc. from the core release to the addons; all those things which are not originary present in w.xp and which at the same time are not released exactly as an update to the specific product (vs other things like ie7, wmp11, desktop search ... which, even if not beeing originary included in xp, are released and packaged exactly like other things being "updates" in a more literal sense, like i.e. the patches)

Thanks for catching KB924191. Removed from the list since it was replaced by another update. IE7, WMP7, & Defender are assumed from the opening statement in the beginning.

You make a point about some of the components but I'm not ready to make a change unless all the other developers are willing to do this. We shall see =)

yes i thought about the the initial statement, but it sounds to me (but maybe i'm worng) like "in the release you'll find all of the necessary updates for sp-sp2 as it comes out of the inst. cd and for each one of these other components, if they're present in your system" but without ensuring if the mentioned components themselves are included too or if they're not (indeed: ie7, wmp11 and defnder are included; .net 1.1, its sp1, KB886903, KB925168, .net 3.5 aren't)

that's why i thought that, to a user new to ap/updating win. tasks and/or not much expert in pc stuff, it could remain a bit unclear if he'll find ie7, wmp11 and defender in the release (maybe in the 1st moment one can think they're not included), so maybe it's not a bad idea to also list them together the other components

but, nothing of this really matter of course, ty for your attention and sorry for having wasted some of your time :D

You use apup downloaded from this site for all versions and languages of Windows. Once you start it you would choose XP - Polish version.

Well, there is something wrong, but indirectly...

KB947518 (IE Automatic Component Activation Preview) has been superseded by KB947864 (cumulative IE update).

So it needs to be removed from Autopatcher.
