my computer use windows xp pro SP2, kaspersky antivirus, no firewall
i can't successfull download win xp sp3 update patch
the error write "one or more files failed verification. would you like to continue at your risk ?"
have anyone know how to solve this problem, if have please tell me and teach me how to solve this problem can let me succerrfull download win xp sp3 update patch

Okay, it looks like you are having the "DISCONNECTED" error that is plagueing APUP. What local is your computer set to ? ENU or another language?

(Not really your fault -- Microsoft have made a disastrous spelling error on the AppLocale download page.)

If you use an Eastern language (like Thai or Chinese) for APUP it will not work properly.

Let me show what Erik means, with a picture:



In this picture, you must change "Chinese xxxxxxxxx" to "English (United States)"

Try Start > Control Panel > Date, Time, Language and Regional Options > Change the format of numbers, dates, and times > Advanced to change this.

Or, if Control Panel is set to "Classic View"
Try Start > Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Advanced to change this.

my windows xp is sp3, but sp3 can install sound driver Realtek Semiconductor Corp. High Definition Audio
but sound no voice out....
windows xp sp2 is no this problem...

What other language were you using in Windows?


Realtek HD Audio drivers sometimes stop working when XP Service Pack 3 is installed

If you installed the Realtek HD Audio driver before you installed XP Service Pack 3, obtain the latest version of the driver:
(1) From Intel if you have an Intel motherboard
OR
(2) from Realtek.

Uninstall the old driver, reboot the computer and install the new driver.

You do not need to change your time. You only need to change your language, if you are using a Far Eastern language (for example: Chinese).

In the instructions I gave to pier, the selection is for:
[indent]Change the format of numbers, dates, and times
NOT for
Change the date and time[/indent]

The change of language is needed when you run the updater APUP.EXE, not when you run the installer AUTOPATCHER.EXE.
