I'm sure they are important to people that have to manage Windows XP/2003 x64 systems. The problem is that i have to manage the few time i have to prepare all the versions that i'm the manager.

I'd like to see them as I'm currently managing several XP X64 systems.
I'm waiting on Autopatcher to support XP X64 updates before I move my own system to X64.
But I understand that it requires a lot of work, so I'm not complainign and saying "I want them now!", just saying I would like to see them whenever it's possible.

I'm about to switch from XP to Vista x64.

From what I have read around the forums this is the OS that will be shipped with new PCs within 2 years, 32 bit OS's are running at there limit with a lot of games and applications and for any future advancement 64 bit is the only way forward.

Although XP and 2003 have x64 flavors they wont be installed on new PCs when x64 becomes the preferred OS so in my humble opinion Vista x64 is worthy of some attention.

I am installing a fully licensed version of Vista but I hate the whole Windows update fiasco when a fresh install is required, I have used AutoPatcher for years so I am very pleased to see it back on the road to recovery.

Kim, I would recommend going with XP x64 for the time being. Vista, even with SP1, still has too many incompatibilites to be used well for the time being. Also, Vista x64 drops backwards compatibilty with all 16 bit applications, and has many more issues with 32 bit ones than XP does (although it has a few). I maintain both XP and Vista 64-bit computers, and I see about 30% of 32 bit apps failing to run of Vista64, where only two 32-bit apps have failed for me on Xp x64 computers (both games). If you want to wait for a good 64 bit OS, go with Linux now or wait for Windows 7, set for release in 2010, assuming MS can keep their deadlines

For any one else thinking of going over to XP x64 I would recommend it 100%.

This OS runs very well with very few programs being rejected. Just be careful of programs that actually effect the system, theme patcher's, AV and antispyware type stuff, find 64 bit applications for these jobs. Other than that everything I had on my standard XP installed fine and runs perfectly on this OS.

Logically this has got to be the best pre Vista OS, it is newer than XP and 2003 so hopefully most of the mistakes made in previous releases have been addressed in this one.

I run MulitBoot O.S.'s on my big box, (Gigabyte P965 DS3, Intel Core 2 Duo 6420 2.13Ghz, DDR2 800 6Gig Ram, 3.3 TBt HDD's and xForce 8600GTS Vid).
I am constantly testing OS compatibility and Software Security and functionality and sending results to a number of clients, Including an Education department, (My Wife is a teacher in their district).

I will Never Recommend Vista to anyone till M$ pulls their head out of their A$$ and straighten it out. I do have my doubts about Windows 7 every being worth upgrading to.

LarryLaster - Can you please elaborate as to which addons/updates that do not load on your rig? The only way things can be fixed is to first tell us about what is broken
