Autopatcher always offer to install two office 2003 updates:

Security update for Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 KB948988
Security update for Access Snapshot Viewer KB955439

When manualy execute this two updates, got a message:
This update has already been applied or is included in an update that has alreday been applied.

DesertJerry was telling me that he was seeing the same thing under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Patches\. All the MSP's were registering with a random number before the filename. I want to see if this is a random number or if there is some logic behind this. You should have a couple registry entry's within "Patches" Do all keynames that have "PackNames" begin with numbers?

If you don't mind, do you have have any other registry keys in the "patches" location that has SNAPVIEW.msp as their Packagetype or is 368D596D67F82B045880179B4987151E the only location?

Erik,

I got the e-mail you sent - her's what I have. <_<

I checked, my Powerpnt.msp does not have a number before it in Package Name.

But I did not install Office in the default location either; mine is in \Program Files\Office so that puts powerpnt.exe in that location

I checked the second one, my snapview.msp does not have a number before it in package name.

I do have snapview.ocx in the location you indicated: \Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Snapshot Viewer

I searched my registry; snapview.msp only in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Patches\368D596D67F82B045880179B4987151E

I know all this doesn't really answer your questions but that's what I have.

Oh well. :(
