I have just discovered autopatch for win 2000, having gotten tired of BSOD with xp pro, I did a clean install of 2k, new partition, format, ect... and as usual it runs just fine albeit pretty bare bones... AUTOPATCHER seemed like a great idea...
so I Installed it. I got the active x error and did the regserv as indicated, that seemed to fix the active x error... cool...
now.. I get a bad command line error once during install.. I click ok and the install completes.

MY PROBLEM IS THAT MABY I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW AUTOPATCH WORKS... BECAUSE I SEE THIS BIG LIST OF STUFF
THAT IS SUPPOSED TO INSTALL AFTER RUNNING THE PAGE WHERE YOU CHECK ALL THE EXTRAS YOU WANT INCLUDED
AND YET.. I CANT FIND ANY OF IT... FOR INSTANCE.... IT SAYS... NEW XP STYLE WALLPAPERS... VIRUS REMOVAL TOOL,
AND OTHER STUFF....

YET... THERE IS NO VIRUS REMOVAL TOOL OR PROGRAM I CAN FIND ANYWHERE... NO IN CONTROL PANEL.. NO ICONS...
NOTHING... NO WALLPAPERS...(not that i care for xp wallpaper but it says it should be installed.. it isnt... nothing in display properties other than the std 2k wallpapers....

AM I MISSING SOMETHING HERE...?????? IS THERE SOMETHING ELSE I NEED TO DO BESIDES THE ORIGINAL INSTALL ???

OH.. ALSO .. A SHORT TUTORIAL ON HOW TO USE THE EDITOR WOULD BE NICE... US NEWBIES ARE NOT PSYCIC...

OH.. VISTA IS OK...BUT THE PRICE SUCKS BIGTIME.... SO IF YOU HAVE A RC2 BETA DISK... YOU CAN INSTALL IT AND RUN IT .... JUST REFERENCE THE MICROSOFT PAGE CONCERNING .... SKIPREARM MABY THAT SHOULD BE INCLUDED AS A BATCH FILE IN YOUR VISTA AUTOPATCH... HAHAHHAH

Note: Autopatcher is using APUP as its new Windows Security Updator.
