This is an old problem. I select Windows Update v7. Autopatcher installs the module. When I restart, if I run Autopatcher again it continues to say that Windows Update v7 is not installed.

Maybe it's installed but the detection isn't correct. I'll try to look into that this weekend.

Unless you have Vista and are forced to use IE7, I would just revert to IE 6 until MS works out more of the bugs in their latest version. Don't get me wrong, IE 6 isn't perfect, but it does have fewer bugs than version 7.

I don't use (or want IE7). I was referring to Windows Update v7

try this detection:

[DetectionFile]
FilePath=system:
FileName=wuapi.dll
FileVersion=7.0.6000.381

and this instalation:
[Installation]
"Module:\WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe" /wuforce /quiet /norestart

check this in WindowsUpdate_x86_ptb.apm file, that is at modules\Components folder

you may wish check if the md5 for WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe is really 5401f801a74efa5cb8ca22fffad1cd8b if isn't, you may have an outdated/corrupted version. this file md5 should be the same for all languages
