Edit: (2008-10-12) Wondering why we are asking?
It's because we will give higher priority to updates for the most popular and reduced priority for the least popular.

Windows Media Player 11 is visually nice, but i don't like the fact that i can't disable the folders it monitors for new files and it keeps connecting to internet, using bandwidth without my approval.

It really is an exceptional audio player once you get the hang of it, and it keeps getting better.

Voting has been extremely slow.
We have over 4000 members and a large proportion of those have Windows XP, yet only 30 votes have been cast in five months and only 2 votes for WMP10.
We will be making a decision whether or not to drop WMP10 support in Windows XP 32-bit in the near future.
If we do, that will leave two alternatives:
- WMP9, which comes in-the-box;
- WMP11, which is the latest alternative for XP.
