The links that you have provided for this site do NOT work.

i hope you dont mind me posting this, but here is a very stable implementation of the same idea:

<a href="http://www.heise.de/ct/projekte/offlineupd...wnload_uk.shtml" target="_blank">http://www.heise.de/ct/projekte/offlineupd...wnload_uk.shtml</a>

this has been developed since 2005 in german, an since 6/2007 it is also available in english.
this program downloads the updates for server 2003, XP, Vista, windows 2000, and office 2000 - 2007
if you want it to, it also creates a cd image, that can be burned on a cd/dvd and used to patch many systems.
if you dont create an image, the update package will be saved in the "client" folder.
oh, and it supports lot of languages! (among them: english, german, french, swedish, dutch, norwegian, ... )

here is the forum for the program

It took me less than 2 minutes to find the right links for "Offline Update"... don't be so lazy:

project site (in german)
english support forums
english article about the program
english version history and downloads

This is my first post and I don't know exactly how to proceed...but here goes.

I am far from a computer expert but I've built numerous pcs and installed OSes from DOS to XP and Linux.

The prospect of slipstreaming SP2 and all the Windows updates onto a CD (DVD?) is very intrigueing and exciting.

Today I downloaded apup, and proceeded to download apup engine and AutoPatcher for Windows XP. At the end of approximately 500 mb I got a run time error 0.

Is this a problem on my end?

Any advice or suggestion would be welcome.

Please don't tell me to go away.

It may be on your end but it may not, systme info is helpful, and please remember that this is an EXTREMELY early beta release. Don't worry, nobody here will tell you to go away. Because this is such an early beta, everyone is a noob at using it.

Trying to save myself some download quota by copying an existing AP modules folder over for APUP, I'm getting Runtime error 0 as soon as I begin the download after selecting the packages.

I have downloaded the latest apup but as soon as it starts I get a run-time error 0. I have tried deleting and reinstalling autp patcher XP Nov and run autopatcher again but same issue.
I have also tried just running autopatcher in a directory with nothing else in it and same problem.

Hello have downloaded apup and find the same bug.. it stops everytime in 154,91 MB on file KB90830-v1.34.exe with runtime error 0

try to download AutoPatcher Engine 5.6.81 the files are downloaded but in the end gives runtime error 0

AutoPatcher for Office 2003 -- English, AutoPatcher for Office 2007 -- English, AutoPatcher for Office XP -- English always say runtime error 0
when try to download...

minor bug report
when you click on the release name for example AutoPatcher Engine 5.6.81 if you click again.. allows you to change the name..
and when you try to maximize window doesn't recize..

download size always shows calculating.

thanks for the help and for this great program!

I'm having problems with the November 18 release. When I run it it immediately downloads releases.list, and then nothing: no internet activity, no download of the update lists, no calculating. I've tried at different times over the past two days. I've tried with Zone Alarm switched off. It does not seem to be able to connect to your servers, or maybe not even trying?

That is by design. The calculating is from an older version that just wan't removed. It will not download the lists until you select the ones and hit next. There are known bugs in the Office 2003/2007 lists that are being worked on. The Window resize error is not a high priority. The rename bug is a new one, but it's a display bug so also not a high priority. They're just trying to get the program to work for now. For now the effort is being placed on the XP English release.

I'm running a computer at home with a pentium 3 698 mhz processor and 256 ram. I would like to say this program has saved me hours of sitting through microsoft's update....it takes so long to find what needs to be installed. Autopatcher is a godsend! With APUP it makes it even better. Thank you!

Thankyou for this new version of Apup but I have a problem... Calculating the downloads takes ages, it has been over 10 minutes and it still says it. I have tried many times to restart the program but it keeps saying the same.

For now the "calculating" stays indefinitely. Choose the modules you would like to download and click on start =)

^ Calculating when? After selecting the release you want and when you click "Next"? That will depend on the number of files that you already have in the \module folder, in the disk activity, CPU speed, etc.
