@Robert - I'm not sure why this is happening on your system. This is working just fine on all other reports that I hear. I can only assume there is something on your system that is causing this.

Let me know if this is happening on anybody elses experience with APUP.

After downloading all the updates, I burned the folder to a DVD. Then I copied the folder from the DVD to a computer that is not connected to the Internet. When I try to run 'autopatcher.exe'. I get an errror. "Unhandled Exception, error number: 0x80040706...." This comes up when the window on the screen says "Rapport Device Management v4.0".

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Idiot

@Idiot - What version of Windows are you running? When I look up this Rapport Device Management v4, this typically is installed with Compaq computers. Are you running a compaq image?

I've downloaded apup via the link in the first post. It is version 1.0.0.3. When I run it nothing is available but Autopatcher Updater 1.0.4. However when I download that it downloads 1.0.0.3 which is the same version. I am stuck in a loop.

@skywalka - Hate to tell you but the first link is pointing to 1.0.0.4 which 1.0.0.3 has been removed from our server. I'm not sure why you are still seeing the old version.

Erik,

Is there anyway to utilise Autopatcher if you are behind a Proxy firewall? I'm currently using a tunneling program called "Your Freedom" to tunnel out of my university's network, plus a proxifier called "ProxyCap". I can get most programs to work, though Autopatcher is one of the more troublesome ones. Any tips on how I can get everything working so I can download the latest updates?

The Portuguese script of APUP v1.0.4 downloads Brasilian Portuguese (PTB) security patches form microsoft instead of the Portuguese Portuguese (PTG) ones...

I've tried it on another PC & got the same problem. I've got no doubt the link in the first post points to 1.0.0.3.

Any chance the file is being saved to another folder or there is another file named apup(#).zip?
I've just downloaded the revised apup.zip and compared it to the one I downloaded back in December and they are different.

Nope. I just downloaded it myself just to make sure and it's 1.0.0.4 on the first post. I can only assume that your ISP is caching the file and you might have to wait a bit before it grabs the new one.

erik, i'm not sure, but the issue regarding detection of ptb and ptg isn't solved yet. isn't the issue that Gr33n C0d3r reported related to that?

just a little explain: in a ptb system (1046), apup select by default ptg script (2070)

Your ISP is probably caching the old version. I can forward the new version to you via email. What's your email address?
I just checked it again & even used a download manager but it's still 1.0.0.3 for me.
This is the link:

The newest version of APUP does fix all of the bugs that I've seen so far, but I still get "files failed verification" errors on a few scripts (I know that's not the fault of the updater).

The last failed verification happened to Office Updates pack which MS just updated the Office Update Engine. This should be fixed.

Please let me know if/when you receive verification errors through the bug thread =)

Perfect timing! I was just about to ###### about that verification failure, but while this page was loading, I ran it again, and it's bugless again! Gotta luvvitt! ;)

Confirmed, that also fixed my file verification issue, nice work again! Question: what changes are being considered for the next release?
