What does with his hotfixes mean?

Autopatcher only offers what WU has to offer along with a few optional fixes. If you install a hotfix that replaces an officially released fix, AP will show the official fix as not installed whereas the hotfix may still satisfy WU after installing it.

BTW, I noticed that a few fixes you have listed have already been superseded by another fix.
i.e KB2572073 and KB2633880 were superseded by KB2604092.

Updates and hotfixes for .NET 1.1.

What Microsoft offers me, I install that.
Not my fault.

Just now, I'm uninstalling .NET and we will see what MS has to offer.

Right now, MS offers me .NET 3.5 and 4.0.
First I'm going to install .NET 3.5.

At last! No more hotfixes for .NET 3.5.
After 3.5 only 4.0 is left.

I didn't reinstall system for a long time.....maybe......older hotfixes are available back then.
Maybe because of that, older hotxes are present in my registry.

I'm going to install .NET 4.0 and hotfixes for that as they become available after installation.

New stuff after installation of .NET 4.0.






After installing all those updates, MS shows no more updates for .NET.

Now I'm gonna download APUP .NET Pack just to check.

Apup reports these as available + .NET Framework Assistant for Firefox WHICH I don't need (KB963707).

As I said before, the ones without check-marks are optional and not normally offered via Windows Update. If you don't want to see those, you can add them to a blacklist and they will not show. The ones with the check-marks indicates that those fixes are not being detected on your system. I don't really know what more to say. I would suggest you install the check-marked security fixes.

But I don't understand. MS DOES NOT offer those fixes (Optional or High Priority), but APUP does.

They are optional fixes... as in unless you complain or look you don't get. They fix problems that are not really common and may cause other issues(perhaps not fully tested yet) in fixing the issues they fix.
They are offered by APUP because others here have probably asked(in the past) for them to be included.

I have added the 2012 x64 and x86 to the releases2.list but, have not created detections for them yet(same detections as the 2010 version) as I have not installed them yet and there is no documentation for detection. I'm not in a hurry to offer 4.5 as of yet until the dust settles. 4.5 supposedly replaces 4.0, but not supported in XP so that has to be considered too. Also, I don't think there is a client version for this. Do you have a good reason why you need this from AP now?

We are not competing with MS. I'm sure we'll offer 4.5 in due time. If you need it now, Microsoft Download Center is the the answer.

It's not that I need it - I have installed them in the appropriate operating systems - I asked because my posting had gone unanswered as to what was going to happen to these items and I figured I'd ask before many others ask about them and allow those in charge to have an answer that updates were pending.

When in Win7 and AutoPatcher started and knowing I have .NET Framework 4.5 installed I noticed that AutoPatcher has check marks in many boxes for .NET Framework 4.0 updates - I have not as yet opted to install them as I am not sure of their validity in updating 4.5 (yes, I know Microsoft did not change version numbers in this instance,)

Has anyone determined a safe way to tell if these are safe to install and. thereby, not corrupting 4.5?

The safest way is to let WU decide what updates you need. Since 4.5 replaced 4.0 and AP does not know about 4.5 yet, I would not rely on what AP is saying. I would not apply any updates to 4.5. Run WU to look for updates and see what it returns. A lot of the 4.0 AP detections probably do not exist anymore after 4.5 was installed and
that is the reason why some 4.0 entries show up as not installed.

I believe that is the full 4.5 installer... Not that I can find out since I don't have the OS for it. Says x64 and x86.
However I think you still have to have 4.0 installed to install this.(after thinking about it... I guess it makes it NOT a full installer... just an update.)

The item pointed to above is the web installer. You can download dotnetfx45_full_x86_x64.exe size 49,170Kb which, as the name says, is the full thing - but, at this time, I cannot post a download location - got it back on 15 Aug and no longer know where.

I really was not about to let AP select 4.5 updates - was expecting others to confirm that position or provide a rationale to do otherwise. Thanks
