I'm getting verification errors now :blink:. Plus, in my AddonPacks\modules\stand_alone\AdbeRdr940_en_US.apm_files folder .. where I had only AdbeRdr1000_en_US.exe in there before .. I now have both AdbeRdr1000_en_US.exe and AdbeRdr940_en_US.exe

Spoiler

(Just a heads up, I won't be able to report anything else on this for a day or 2.)

Sure. I mentioned in post #100 Cristiano accidentally uploaded the wrong script, you are downloading Reader v9x files and its mixing with v10x.

I would delete these files manually - adobe_reader_EN-US.rti, AdbeRdr940_en_US.apm, and AdbeRdr940_en_US.exe - when Cristiano uploads the correct script a new .rti and .apm should be downloaded when you run APUP again (once the correct script is in place).

I'm sure the script will find and delete the old v9x files but I would be on the safe side and delete them now. :)

Note: Looking at the 9x script I think you may only have AdbeRdr940_en_US.exe to delete, the 9x .apm file errors out (404 / not found) so this should not be in the folder, the .rti might be correct but will get deleted if APUP is run again (hash wont match 9x script) - anyway just some 'FYI', I would delete any of the files if they are present. This will get fixed so hang loose :)

Fixed. It deleted the AdbeRdr940_en_US.apm_files folder, created the AdbeRdr1000_en_US.apm_files folder, redownloaded AdbeRdr1000_en_US.exe and everything is official OK.

ok, but what to do when 10.1 version arrive?
I edited the APM file on my system to read: Adobe Reader X 10.0.0 - when/if it is updated I'll re-edit as required, if necessary. B)

the PTB and ITA versions of adobe reader X was released. both scripts was updated to match. the topic was also renamed to match. just an issue... renaming the topic breaks the link that shows in autopatcher, about. also this isn't so important, next time the scripts be updated, that link will be fixed

Doubt very much if anyone is going to be updating AutoPatcher - other posts indicate death of AutoPatcher has occured.

Probably not, but if someone wants to handle it, someone who uses it, I'm sure others would appreciate it. Btw, is this a static link, anyone know?

The latest is 48+ MB - a bit too much for me on dialup. I use Foxit, small, fast.

Got it - thanks - the .APM file only requires a change to:

[General]
Title=Adobe Reader X 10.1.1.33

The registry uninstall key number stays the same

I hope to update all (main and stand alone releases) tonight. Sorry but yesterday I had a terrible headache.

I looked a bit closer and the registry address has changed. Since I am uploading my other script changes I thought I'd put this one up as well.
