New update now brings it to version 9.1.1 to fix a critical vulnerability has been identified in Adobe Reader 9.1 and Acrobat 9.1 and earlier versions. This vulnerability (CVE-2009-1492) would cause the application to crash and could potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system. A second vulnerability has also been reported that appears to affect Adobe Reader for UNIX only (CVE-2009-1493).

Adobe recommends users of Adobe Reader 9.1 and Acrobat 9.1 and earlier versions update to Adobe Reader 9.1.1 and Acrobat 9.1.1. Adobe recommends users of Acrobat 8 update to Acrobat 8.1.5, and users of Acrobat 7 update to Acrobat 7.1.2. For Adobe Reader users who can’t update to Adobe Reader 9.1.1, Adobe has provided the Adobe Reader 8.1.5 and Adobe Reader 7.1.2 updates.

This link will get to were you can download the update.

Black Ghost, right now, there's not an script for adobe reader. it was taken off a few months ago, when the issue was first reported.

to be honest? it will not. reasons? a lot. autopatcher crew is resumed to 3 active members, that don't have time for nothing else, but keep the main things running. everybody knows that since several months ago and now, even the ones that was in the beta team has gone. we don't do magic. this one will be dropped. if someone wishes hold this one, think about and then talk with us. this one is very easy to do, it has very few updates, from times to times and most of them have months between them.

Since this question has also been asked elsewhere on these forums (Here, at the end of the post) there is still a security problem with Adobe Reader, so we will not be updating this release any time soon.

Adobe Security Bulletin said:

A critical vulnerability exists in the current versions of Flash Player (v9.0.159.0 and v10.0.22.87) for Windows, Macintosh and Linux operating systems, and the authplay.dll component that ships with Adobe Reader and Acrobat v9.x for Windows, Macintosh and UNIX operating systems. This vulnerability (CVE-2009-1862) could cause a crash and potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system. There are reports that this vulnerability is being actively exploited in the wild via limited, targeted attacks against Adobe Reader v9 on Windows.

See Security advisory for Adobe Reader, Acrobat and Flash Player for the full text.

Adobe Reader critical update 9.1.3 is now out.

Just open up Adobe Reader and click "Update". It's much quicker than expecting AutoPatcher to do it for you.

See http://www.adobe.com.../apsb09-10.html

We need to download 9.1.3, air 1.5.2, flash player to 10.0.32.18.

Si I guess for adobe, install 9.1, then 9.1.3 update?

No, for a deployment of Adobe Reader to another computer you need the full 9.1 package, then the 9.1.2 update, then the 9.1.3 update.

The 9.1.2 update includes 9.1.1.
The 9.1.3 update does NOT include 9.1.2.

To update your own copy of Adobe Reader don't download anything. Adobe Reader will download its own updates if you click Help --> Check for updates.

an advise: sometimes, install 9.1 and then update to 9.1.1, 9.1.2 and 9.1.3 straight can take a lot of time to perform. this can be avoided with an reboot after 9.1

done. adobe reader 9.2 script updated. a few changes was made, including the removal of that speeling module. Due my current lack of time, this one may be updated only in full packages.

an small edit was made. in order to put this one back to his original place (aka stand_alone modules), the script was updated again. this shall help those that wish create standalone modules

Downloaded AdbeRdrUpd931_all_incr.msp today - updates Adobe Reader to version 9.3.1

Checked the Adobe site - Reader is listed as version 9.3 so I'm assuming the full Reader version 9.3.1 is not yet available.
