not quite really. we only are able to catch the download links from java.com, not from java.sun.com. at java.com, the links us to be updated after sun.com, meaning that we will be forced to stay with v13 for some time

"some time" appears to be over. Clicking download here http://www.java.com/en/ gets Java 6 update 14.

Hey bizzybody
I don't work for you pal! I have been checking the site like I said I would, with the last time being about 11 PM
my time last night - no update posted. It was updated hours ago - who cares if it was two weeks ago.
Well, there are 2 files available and both different from the last update - jre-6u13-windows-i586-p.exe
The download link from just moments ago is...
Java v.6 Update 14 -> http://javadl.sun.co...?BundleId=31620
...jre-6u14-windows-i586-s.exe
And yours...
Java v.6 Update 14 -> http://javadl.sun.co...?BundleId=31621
...jre-6u14-windows-i586.exe

No x64 release. Is there a reason for this.
I'm sure if you would be willing to maintain an x64 release we could find you some work, or if you have
a spare x64 machine that we could test on, we aren't proud, we take donations
Also, I'm not positive but doesn't 64-bit OSes have both 32-bit and 64-bit IE?

No x64 release. Is there a reason for this.
- Windows XP/Vista/2000/2003/2008 (that is the version included in the java release and there's just one version for all windows versions, doesn't matter if x32 or x64);
- Solaris (x32 and x64)
- Linux (x32 and x64)
that info can always be checked at java.com, hitting free java download and then hitting "all java downloads here" (the names of the links may change. i've just did an translation for the words that i see in my language)

For some weird reason you have to install both 32 AND 64 bit versions
http://www.java.com/...va_win64bit.xml
link is
http://cds.sun.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfini...windows-x64.exe

and, for an even weird reason, the x32 users aren't able to see the download link. at the manual download at java.com i'm able to see only the x32 versions for it, besides solaris, linux and apple. we have an big problem when we update an script, my friend: if we do it even once, we have to do it always. and we can't see the download link, because for some weird reason, they don't allow users from an x32 system see it. if we can't see the download link, we can't update it even once, because we don't know if we will have someone around to take the download link for this one.

Apparently it has to do with your browser, you can't trick Java into showing you (at least not me) anything 64-bit
if you are viewing the site with an 32-bit browser - as far as I can tell. I have clicked every 64-bit link and it keeps
pointing me to 32-bit Java.
Also, since we wont be doing anything with 64-bit OSes (until we can locate a release maintainer) we should just nix
any conversation about x64 to keep the confusion to a minimum.

but still, at java.com, is v14. we only can take the download links for java from java.com and, due that, we will be unable to update the script for some time
