@ mike: thanks, fixed

also, as reported in here, seems that the shockwave file was updated due some reason. the version is still the same, but as this breaks the script... the script was adapted to match this new file

by the way: as an user has asked in here, i've checked for the possibility of an silent install for windows live essentials. issue: it's an huge file (~157MB). due that, for sure this file will not be added into the extras script. maybe as an standalone or something, but fact 1: it's possible do a dozen of commands to extract file after file and reach every single component and install one by one. fact 2: that is unpractical. fact 3: googling, i've found someone stating that this works:
WLSetup-all.exe /q /NOToolbarCEIP /NOhomepage /Nolaunch /nosearch /AppSelect:Photo,Mail,Messenger

/AppSelect options:
* companion
* silverlight
* familysafety
* mail
* messenger
* moviemaker (installs the Photo gallery as well!)
* olc
* wlsync
* writer
* bingbar
* idcrl32/idcrl64

if WLSetup-all.exe /q, then everything will be installed. as for me i only deploy the needed thing (aka msn) and the combinatorics for it will be an pain, if someone wishes this one as an module, please narrow the options, because there's no way to do a dozen of modules to deploy this. msn, full thing and a few more options, maybe, but all the possible modules for it? forget

thanks in advance for any ideas

Extras has been updated ~ (Adobe) Flash Players 10.2.152.26; Shockwave Player 11.5.9.620; Silverlight 4.0.60129.0

Please mention any issues with the detections. If by chance when you reboot after installing the above updates and they remain black (uninstalled) instead of blue (installed), you wont need to reinstall - it is a detection issue - if you would, please report this. A trip to Adobe should confirm the update - Flash Test, Shockwave Test.

I don't use Silverlight so feedback will be needed here - I simply updated the version numbers, the registry entry may change with an update - not sure.

Thanks Cristiano for the direct link and md5, btw, we co-signed this release :)

I guess I will need to resign the Extras, some of the detections were not working, they seem to be now. I would like to get feedback with the Silverlight detections. The web link needed updating anyway (the 'more info' link in AutoPatcher) - for me at least, the link led to the web installer and wants to verify my system is ready to install Silverlight. I figure an Information page on Silverlight might be better http://www.silverlight.net/ - any objections?

If someone can confirm these detections work for the latest Silverlight, it would be much appreciated.

KeyValue=4.0.60129.0

the first detection will not fully work, due this: Wow6432Node (my bad, sorry). this is the x86 part of the registry under an x64 system and doesn't exist under an x86 OS. but since there's an registry detection and an file detection, it will work in OR mode. if the registry detection is taken without the Wow6432Node part, it will work under x86 OS's and under x64 OS's, because it is an redirected part of windows registry

I'm not showing Adobe Flash Player 10.2.152.26 for Mozilla, Firefox, Opera and Netscape as being detected. (Thanks for the link to the test page, as I'd have probably been too lazy to check otherwise B)) It is installed, but AutoPatcher's not detecting it. It wasn't installed using AutoPatcher though. That shouldn't make a difference, should it? All others are detected fine on my system (Windows7pro64).

[DetectionRegistry]
RegistryPath=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Adobe Flash Player ActiveX

[DetectionFile]

FileVersion=>10.2.152.26

[DetectionRegistry]
RegistryPath=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Adobe Flash Player Plugin

>>>since some time ago, adobe is changing the letter in certain files

Yeah, I guess the last update was 'l', now 'm', and that is the new detections (your post #128) I have ready to go once the Silverlight is figured out...

>>>if the registry detection is taken without the Wow6432Node part, it will work under x86 OS's and under x64 OS's.

That would be great, will this work, is this what you're saying...
[DetectionRegistry]
RegistryPath=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{89F4137D-6C26-4A84-BDB8-2E5A4BB71E00}
KeyName=DisplayVersion
KeyValue=4.0.60129.0

[DetectionFile]
FilePath=progfiles:\Microsoft Silverlight\4.0.60129.0\
FileName=Silverlight.Configuration.exe
FileVersion=4.0.60129.0

I was also wondering if the string remains the same with an update - {89F4137D-6C26-4A84-BDB8-2E5A4BB71E00} - this is also needed for removal.

>>>It wasn't installed using AutoPatcher though. That shouldn't make a difference, should it?

No, dfdff3000, it shouldn't. Your plugins should be installed and once the Silverlight detection gets squared away I will try (:)) to fix the Extras.

Thanks for the info Cristiano, it's nice of you to offer help at this point - appreciated :)

I'm getting a cold so I need to sleep - I haven't much the last three days which is why I've been here. Before I fix Extras I have a favor to ask of anyone that still cares...

I hate scroll bars both horizontal and vertical (sounds strange I know) so, before I fix Extras I want to know if anyone will fall apart ( :) ) if I make this change to the Flash and Shockwave Titles (this removes the horizontal bar for me)... only one creates the bar but they all need to match

(Adobe) Flash Player 10.2.152.26 for Internet Explorer
(Adobe) Flash Player 10.2.152.26 for Mozilla, Firefox, Opera & Netscape
(Adobe) Shockwave Player 11.5.9.620

Extras updated.

~ (Adobe) Flash Player v10.2.152.32
~ Flash / Shockwave descriptions
~ Flash IE link - now matches the downloaad path of Flash notIE. The Flash IE file name is different but the hashes match for both new versions. Hopefully this will continue to work.

Extras updated. ~ (Adobe) Flash Players 10.3.181.14; (MS) Silverlight 4.0.60310.0

My friend had asked if he could try updating a script, I said sure but try something easy, maybe Extras, it looks good so I signed it.

Java was an easy addition when we could get a direct link, now it is easier to simply update from java.com or wherever you get it from.
