the last .zip with .exe cannot download. i see it for few secs, then it vanishes. nothing i found here proposed as a solution helped thus far. any additional ideas?

you are talking about what .zip with .exe? you have already updated apup? try download it from here:
http://www.autopatch...engine/apup.zip

also, you can run apup with /log argument and post the log in here. it may help a lot

yes, the last apup... i'm not at home now, but it's about when you download everything for the first time, the last file that downloads, the one that contains autopatcher.exe won't unzip, it disappears instantly after i click finish. i'm not the only one with that problem, as i've seen here. and i've already tried everything that had been told to the others to do, and as with many of them, nothing of those advices helped me either.

there's issues and there's issues. i don't see anyone missing the autopatcher.exe file. can you please run apup.exe with the argument /log?

please, just open notepad paste the code above and save an file named apup_log.cmd this:

apup /log

then, put the file into apup folder and double-click it. just remember: if you are hiding extensions, it may not work

seems that you just have downloaded the autopatcher and apup engine, nothing else. in order to work, you need select an language that fits to your system to be downloaded. but there's an possible issue in your log:
Non-Unicode Default: Croatian

apup doesn't work with certain languages. basically, cyrillic. can you please change the language for non unicode to english?

i have downloaded everything else before. when i choose to download everything, same thing happens. now i only checked the boxes i'm missing, to present the example, otherwise it is always the same result. and croatian is not cyrillic, but latin. and eveything worked without any problem with the same language a year and a half ago with sp2, before that autopatcher hiatus. if the language is problem now and nothing else, then we won't bother with this any more. but i kind of doubt it's the language.
