flash player has been updated by adobe and the script autopatcher_addons.script is still outdated
don't worry, James is already aware of this issue and he will fix it soon.
by the way: Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2. in order to be fully patched, your system must be running sp3, since we don't hold updates for sp2 anymore

Hi stealth420,
The errors previously posted by hermes_os have all been fixed.
Could you please run apup.exe again, in the same folder, with the /log option and post the log-file here.

The easiest way of making a log-file is to run apup.exe from the Command Prompt (as in C:\apup>apup /log).

I was getting the same Subscript out of range error too.
I went into my Firewall settings and manually allowed apup.exe & the update finished without error when I ran it again.
But I'm dead in the water because Autopatcher will not run.
It gives me the "Yikes" Msg. box straight away

Gadgetman496,
This is usually caused by having an old version of RICHTX32.OCX which has been installed by another program.
(1) Rename the copy of RICHTX32.OXX in your Windows system32 folder to RICHTX32.OLD.
(2) Copy RICHTX32.OCX from the Autopatcher bin folder to the Windows system32 folder.
(3) Try to run AutoPatcher again

Thank you very much James.
Your recommendation has rectified the problem & Autopatcher runs fine now.
The original "Yikes" Msg. was telling me that the issue was with RICHTX32.OCX but I wasn't sure because I had just installed a new HDD & a clean install of Windows XP Pro SP3 with all the latest updates, so I just took it for granted that the RICHTX32.OCX file would also be up to date.
I was incorrect, my file was version 5.0.37.14 but the Autopatcher one is version 6.1.97.82
Thanks again for the prompt response

Ahh I dont seem to have this file in the latest download ~ RICHTX32.OCX
I checked in the bin and its not there, what I did do though is use one from else where
and it actually showed me all the releases for once (more than i've seen before as never got that far)
but then it gave me the usual subscript error as soon as I went to go download the releases (patches etc)
Do you know if I can get an updated version of this file from somewhere else? I tried microsofts own site
just keeps comming up with loads of other stuff, I even typed in 'download RICHTX32.OCX' .......
Im not sure why its not included in the latest release I downloaded (if its meant to be there?)
I still have no Idea lol .. any help I truly appreciate thanks!

Are you sure that you have allowed the apup.exe file full permissions in your firewall?
Have you actually iserted it as an application in the firewall?

Standard,
RICHTX32.OCX has nothing to do with your problem -- you seem to be mixing up apup.exe and autopatcher.exe.
As Cristiano and Gadgetman496 have both posted, apup.exe is being blocked from running. Until apup.exe can run properly, nothing else will work.
What firewall, Anti-virus and Anti-spyware applications are you running?

Standard,
Your problems are most likely caused by the Agnitum Outpost firewall.
It is not sufficient to just allow APUP under the Rules Wizard; you have to turn off Content Filtering as well.
Also, please see THIS TOPIC (posts #4, #8 and #10) where you will find other Outpost firewall users with the same problem (and also the solution).
