it works now
only there is a verification problem, so autopatcher is unoficcial until you update that
before you added directx script there was no verification problem

Sorry, I posted in the wrong section.

Thanks for fixing the script.

I also have the verification problem.

Will try to log the error. I think I will do a apup log every time I update.

Thanks.

> so autopatcher is unoficcial until you update that
that is because i don't have here the tool for sign the scripts, also i don't have the original script (that it's at my home). so, i just take the script that is online and did the proper changes to match the new download and sent that to james upload. that unnoficial issue will be fixed later, when i come home. that probably will give you an verification error to the rti file, that will not math with the version that is online

but despide the verification error, autopatcher should not become unofficial, since it's just the md5 from the rti file that will not math

anyway, i will fix it later. i already have some personal things to solve today, but i will fix it

this md5 is from the file that i have downloaded from that location (directx_nov2008_redist.exe), so, i believe that this one is right. anyway, i'm downloading this file again, just to be sure that ms didn't change anything in that file. if ms has changed something, it may explain the md5 issue. if the file was updated, the script will be updated later

thanks for your report

great. i've finished the download and i've got 94b5d58455313a9a2a2acb85d7265521 for the md5, that matches with the one taken by horusng. the size for the file doesn't math either. just to be sure about, i will do another download, from other location, but i believe that ms did an silent update for this one by some reason in the past days.

thanks for your report.

i updated autopatcher again and it downloaded directx again (must be that you updated the script for that silent update)
but there is still verification problem
i am not complaining i just report problems so autopatcher is a better program for us all
i am not putting any pressure, when you get the time update it
thanks for all your work

maybe. that was the date that dx november was first released to the public. ms probably has discovered some issue regarding it and did an update, because i'm running this file since that date and it was working fine. also any ms update, this one has an self-check built in, so, if corrupted, it doesn't work and is not the case, so, the file that i had was replaced. but i'm just doing an final check to the download right now and after that, i will update the script again (of course, i will need check for the detection into the module too, because they may have changed something into those files, but this doesn't take long). probably this one will be downloaded again until i finish my shower

done. script updated and also signed. ms hasn't changed the detection files. but i've found the issue that was making me take the wrong md5: i had an software to bath copy of several files at once, named teracopy. i was choosing this one, because a lot of times i need do backups from my clients and sometimes they have some sort of issue in his hds that prevents the windows original cp works (also yours are aware, in case of any error, the copy process is stopped at once). the issue: this teracopy software was taking care of any sort of file copy and, if i copy any file, the md5 from the file may change. the funny part is that this software was intended to prevent the md5 from the files change by any reason (it has an md5 check built in). once i removed the software, i was able to copy the file without any damage to the md5.

so, i'm deeply sorry about this issue, the software is already removed from my system, but if someone has some hint about an software that do bath copies without interrupt the process even if some file is damaged, that be freeware or at least an shareware functional for the task, i'm grateful in advance

yes, it is:
Files to be Downloaded: 0

means that you already have the module. at #9, your log said that the md5 for the file doesn't match, so, apup was adding it to download queue. now, that the module it's fixed, you already have the right file (apup was just pointing that you had an version and the script was waiting for another one). if you already have the right file, apup will skip the file. an log showing that you don't have the file should be like this one:

of course, if you had an old/corrupted/changed md5 version, instead "Missing file" you should have an
Detection error for file I:\AUTOPATCHER\AutoPatcher Updater 1.05\apup\modules\Components\directx_files\directx_nov2008_redist.exe

like you posted at #9

also i had that "missing", apup does this:

so, the script is working, but you may take a look at modules\Components\directx_files and see that already there's an file in there :)
